Isuzu Motors have been teasing the upcoming BS6 compliant 2021 D-Max V-Cross and MU-X SUV. Due to the second wave of COVID-19, the launch seems to have postponed. But it is expected that the BS6 variant of the D-Max V-Cross will be launched next month. The fresh news is that the upcoming 4×4’s specifications have been leaked online. Let’s see what details are provided in the leaked brochure –

2021 Isuzu D-Max V-Cross: Engine and Performance

The brochure states that the 2021 Isuzu D-Max V-Cross will get the 1.9-litre turbo diesel engine that makes 161 hp of power and 360 Nm of torque. This shows that there is a 13 PS power increase and 10 Nm torque increase. This new BS6 compliant engine will have a six-speed automatic transmission option only. The vehicle rides on 18-inch wheels with frontal disc brakes and drum brakes at the rear. The kerb weight of the 4×2 variant is 1890 kg and that of the 4×4 variant is 1990 kg. There will be two variants at launch – rear-wheel drive (RWD) and four-wheel drive (4×4). The 4×2 variant will be available in Z trim and 4×4 will be available in Z Prestige trim.

There are no major changes in the design language of the pickup. This is because as the brochure suggests, the Indian model will be the same as the last-gen Isuzu D-max V-Cross and is not the new-gen model that is sold internationally. The BS6 model of D-Max V-Cross will be 5295 mm long, 1860 mm wide and 1840 mm tall. Its wheelbase is 3095 mm.

Price

The expected price of the BS6 D-max V-Cross will start at Approx. 20.5 lakhs. This makes the new lifestyle pickup expensive than the last generation by around Rs. 50,000 to 60,000. The last generation model had a price tag of Rs. 19.99 Lakh.
