Acura’s three-row SUV is the newest Type S model, with a starting price of $67,745 and the same 355-hp turbo V-6 as the TLX Type S.
The 2022 Acura MDX Type S will be available in dealerships starting next week for $67,745.
For an extra $5,350, you can get the Advanced Package, which includes various interior upgrades.
It has the same 355-horsepower turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6 engine as the TLX Type S sedan.
Acura has restored the Type S logo, which can now be seen on three of its models: the NSX supercar, the TLX sedan, and the MDX three-row SUV. The TLX Type S is currently on sale, 300 NSX Type S cars will arrive in the United States soon, and the MDX Type S will hit showrooms next week with a starting price of $67,745.
The same turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6 as the TLX is available for that price, but with a roughly $15,000 premium—and a third row of seats. The engine produces 355 horsepower and 354 pound-feet of torque, which is a 65-horsepower and 87-pound-feet improvement over the normal MDX’s 3.5-liter V-6 engine. It comes with a 10-speed automatic transmission and Acura’s SH-AWD all-wheel-drive system, as well as adjustable dampers, air springs, and Brembo brakes on Type S variants.
An Advanced Package is available on the MDX Type S for an additional $5,350. It includes a head-up display, 25-speaker sound system, massaging, 16-way power front seats, wood trim, and other interior niceties.
Consumers will be able to purchase the first-ever MDX Type S later this December. There’s no official date, but the SUV will arrive at dealerships next month. … Power for the MDX Type S comes from a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine that’s rated at 355 horsepower and 354 pound-feet of torque.
Acura will also be releasing the 2022 Acura MDX S-Type. The S-Type will be a fully-loaded and high-powered version of the Acura MDX redesign. There is no pricing for this iteration available yet, and unlike the above trims, it won’t be available until the summer of 2021.
