2022 Hero Xtreme 160R Launched At Rs. 1.17 Lakh

Hero MotoCorp has introduced the updated version of the Xtreme 160R in the Indian market and is priced at Rs. 1,17,148 for the single disc, Rs. 1,20,498 for the dual disc and Rs. 1,22,338 for the Stealth edition (ex-showroom, New Delhi). In the fiercely competitive segment, it faces off against the freshly released Bajaj Pulsar N160 and the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V.

No mechanical changes have been made, only minor tweaks to the 2022 Hero Xtreme 160R. The sleek chassis and light weight of the naked motorcycle, one of the decent packages offered in its sector, are praised for its snappy handling characteristics. The country’s leading two-wheeler manufacturer has upgraded the motorcycle for MY2022, adding a new pillion grip rail for greater ease.

The single-piece saddle of the 2022 Hero Xtreme 160R has also received an updated seat design. The naked streetfighter’s other features are identical to those of the previous model, including its single-pod LED headlamp, muscular fuel tank design, black-finished alloy wheels with red stickers, side-mounted black exhaust system, sharp-looking mirrors, and digital instrument panel with gear position indicator.

As for the performance, the same 163 cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine is utilised and it produces a maximum power output of 15 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 14 Nm of peak torque delivered at 6,500 rpm. The engine is paired with a five-speed transmission. The base single disc variant is equipped with a rear drum brake setup.

With disc brakes on both wheels and a single-channel ABS system, the twin disc and Stealth edition are offered. It has telescopic front forks and a monoshock rear suspension with preload adjustment for the suspension. Hero has recently added XTEC versions to their product inventory to increase its selection.

A Canvas Black Edition of the Hero Splendor Plus was added, including an all-black colour scheme and chrome “Super Splendor” badges on the fuel tank, headlamp, exhaust shield, etc. The disc version costs Rs. 81,330 while the drum brake version is priced at Rs. 77,430. (ex-showroom).
