This is the first time Jeep has offered the exterior color on the Wrangler.
The most popular paint colours for new automobiles are still white, black, and different degrees of drab. Jeep makes it difficult to pick one of those boring colours by providing a wide range of vivid colour options, which has only grown in recent years. Gobi tan will be available on both the Wrangler and Gladiator in 2022, adding to the brand’s increasing colour palette.
Gobi isn’t a brand-new hue for the company. It was available for the Gladiator’s inaugural model year, and Jeep is bringing it back for 2022. However, this is the first time Jeep has offered the colour on the Wrangler, giving buyers even more options when it comes to personalising their vehicle.

“Both the Jeep Gladiator and Jeep Wrangler are built on customization,” said Jim Morrison, senior vice president and head of Jeep brand North America. On the current-generation Gladiator and Wrangler, Gobi is Jeep’s fifth special-edition colour. Tuscadero Pink, Gecko Green, Nacho Orange, and Chief Blue are the others.
According to Jeep, the new hue will be available for order until June 2022, so if you want it, you’ll have to hurry. The new hue will be available on both versions, including the hybrid 4xe and the high-powered Wrangler 392. The $495 MSRP of the improved Gobi paint means it won’t break the bank, albeit it is $100 more expensive than Tuscadero Pink.

The new hue complements the brand’s improvements to both models for the 2022 model year. Both the truck and the SUV gained 7.0-inch infotainment screens as standard equipment, as well as an enhanced cabin air filter and other improvements. Jeep, on the other hand, has made no adjustments to their powertrains or trim levels. The 2022 Wrangler starts at $29,725 while the Gladiator starts at $35,610 (prices do not include the $1,595 destination fee).
Gobi tan isn’t as flashy as some of Jeep’s other limited-edition colours, but tan isn’t a common colour, and it matches the brand’s off-road sensibilities.
