2022 Kia Seltos and Sonet Facelift Released – Prices and Features

Kia, a Korean automaker, has officially launched the new 2022 Kia Seltos and Sonet facelift in India. The new models have new features, new colour options, and a redesigned variant lineup. The entry-level variants now include features that were previously only available on high-spec variants. The 2022 Kia Seltos range is priced between Rs 10.19 lakh and Rs 18.45 lakh. The Kia Sonet facelift, on the other hand, is priced between Rs 7.15 lakh and Rs 13.69 lakh (ex-showroom, India).

All lower variants of the new models come standard with four airbags. Furthermore, the new Seltos and Sonet collections are available in two new colours: Imperial Blue and Sparkling Silver. The iMT (Intelligent Manual Transmission) gearbox is also available for the 2022 Kia Seltos diesel.

Over 13 changes or upgrades have been made to the new Seltos facelift. The 1.5L diesel engine in the Seltos is the first to feature iMT (Intelligent Manual Transmission) technology. It also receives a new HTX AT variant with a 1.5L engine. The SUV’s automatic variants get paddle shifters, as well as multi-drive and traction modes.

The 2022 Kia Seltos facelift now includes four airbags as standard, as well as Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), Brake Assist (BA), Hill Assist Control (HAC), Highline Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (Highline TPMS), and all-wheel disc brakes. Curtain airbags are also standard on HTX+ models. The Seltos logo appears on the D-cut steering wheel, SUS scuff plate, and tailgate. Indigo Pera Seats have the X Line logo embossed on them.

Nine new updates have been made to the new Sonet. It now comes standard with a side airbag and a highline Tyre Pressure Monitoring System. On the iMT trims, ESC, VSM, Brake Assist, and HAC are also standard.

Curtain airbags are now available starting with the HTX+ variant. The advanced 4.2-inch colour instrument console is standard on the new model (HTX+ trim). The HTE variant now includes a Semi Leatherette seat. On the D-cut steering wheel and tailgate, the Sonet logo has also been updated.

The 2022 Kia Sonet comes with three engine choices: an 83bhp, 1.2L petrol, a 118bhp, 1.0L turbo petrol, and a 99bhp or 113bhp, 1.5L turbo-diesel. There are five transmission options: a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed manual, an iMT, a 6-speed automatic, and a 7-speed dual clutch automatic.
