Mahindra & Mahindra has released another teaser for the highly anticipated third-generation Scorpio SUV. “The New Mahindra SUV Makes Even The Crash Dummy Feel Safe,” says the latest teaser, which includes a poll with 94 percent voting yes and 6% voting no. It seems that the new Mahindra Scorpio would prioritise safety, with a 5-star safety rating expected in crash tests. Multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, rear disc brakes, cruise control, and a reverse parking camera could be included in the SUV’s new model.

The new Mahindra SUV will also have “future technology” and “quick even in slow motion,” according to the automaker. The Scorpio is expected to be equipped with a touchscreen infotainment system that supports wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Alexa, as well as a semi-digital instrument cluster, a 360-degree camera, an electric sunroof, and flat bottom steering with mounted controls this time around. There could possibly be a dual-tone leather inside and an 8-speaker 3D Sony audio system (derived from the Thar).
The new Mahindra Scorpio will be lighter than the current generation car, thanks to a redesigned platform. It is thought to weigh between 100 and 150 kilogrammes. Aside from that, the SUV will be available with two more powerful engines: a 2.0L turbo petrol engine and a 2.2L turbo diesel engine. The oil burner is said to have two separate power outputs: 130 horsepower with 300 Nm and 155 horsepower with 360 Nm. Lower diesel variants will get the 130bhp engine, while higher diesel variants will get the more powerful engine.

The new Scorpio is available with a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. According to reports, the 4X4 drivetrain would be available with both petrol and diesel engines. The SUV model selection will be available in 6- and 7-seat configurations, with the former offering captain seats and third-row jump seats.
