The combined power output of the strong hybrid system is 116 PS, and it is only paired with an e-CVT. It has a dedicated EV mode that comes in handy during traffic and low-speed conditions to improve efficiency even further. The claimed fuel economy is around 28 kmpl. The Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara mild hybrid is powered by a regular K15C petrol engine.

The same powertrain can be found in the latest Brezza, Ertiga, and XL6 models. As a result, the mild hybrid version is more competitively priced than the strong hybrid unit, which is sourced from Toyota. The four-cylinder 1.5-litre K15C smart hybrid petrol engine developed in-house produces 103 PS and 136 Nm of peak torque.
