Mercedes-Benz isn’t the only manufacturer with a Night Edition package. Indeed, this has recently become a popular term among special editions. Hyundai, for example, has a Sonata N Line Night Edition, while Ram has a 1500 and Heavy Duty vehicle with the same moniker.

The name, on the other hand, has the most history in the Mercedes-Benz portfolio. It has also been made available for Maybach S 650 vehicles. With the exception of the AMG models, the latest addition is for the E-Class lineup, which includes coupes, cabriolets, sedans, and station waggons.

The AMG Line and Night Package are used to create the new “Night Edition” cars. While the package can be coupled with any Mercedes-Benz paint finish, it will have a few unique characteristics. The Night Edition package includes a black diamond grille with black pins, a “Night Edition” logo on the wing, black exhaust tailpipe trim components, and high-gloss black AMG light-alloy wheels. The boot lid trim on the sedan and station waggon models will also be coated in high-gloss black.

The interior will start with an AMG Line package and a black roof liner, but there will be some distinguishing pieces, just like the appearance. Interior trim will be a mix of ARTICO man-made leather and DINAMICA microfiber as standard, although leather and Nappa leather upholstery will be available as an option. The centre console is made of open-pore black ash wood, and the instrument panel is finished in ARTICO man-made leather. On the front seats and floor mats, the same “Night Edition” is embroidered.

The new Night Edition package ranges in price from €5,295.50 to €9222.50 (about $5,600 to $9,750 at current currency rates), depending on the body shape. The coupe and cabrio models are already on the market, while the sedan and station waggon versions will be available on May 17, 2022.
