2022 MG Gloster Launched At Rs. 31.99 Lakh

The upgraded 2022 version of MG Motor’s flagship luxury SUV, the Gloster, has just been released. Priced at Rs. 31.99 lakh, ex-showroom, the 2022 MG Gloster competes with the Toyota Fortuner and the Isuzu MU-X, two other body-on-ladder luxury SUVs offered in India in the Rs. 40 lakh range.

The MG Gloster is a much larger car than the Toyota Fortuner and is based on a Chinese SUV called the Maxus D90. In actuality, the Fortuner is 32mm taller, 71mm wider, and 190mm longer than the Gloster. Even its wheelbase is 20 mm longer than the Fortuner’s, measuring 2765 mm.

2022 MG Gloster Specs

The 2022 Gloster’s Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) now includes features like Lane Change Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and Door Open Warning (DOW) (LCA). These features are in addition to the 30 others that the SUV’s ADAS suite already offers. Style updates include the brand-new British Windmill Turbine-themed alloy wheels, which are only available on four-wheel-drive trims, and a fresh Deep Golden Color paint job for all trims. The SUV is also offered in the following three colors: Warm White, Metal Ash, and Metal Black.

2022 MG Gloster India Launch: Price Starts at Rs 31.99 Lakh

A 31.2 cm touchscreen, a high-quality audio system with 12 speakers and Android Auto and Apple Car Play, an all-terrain system with 7 modes, a dual panoramic electric sunroof, a 12-way power driver seat, a driver seat massage and ventilation feature, and wireless charging are just a few of the 2022 Gloster’s standout features. The SUV’s 2-litre, 4-cylinder, the twin-turbo diesel engine produces the best power output in its class of 218 bhp while producing 480 nm of torque, 20 nm less than the Toyota Fortuner Diesel. The same engine is offered in lower trims with a single turbo and lower outputs of 161 bhp and 375 nm. Both the four-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive versions of the MG Gloster come standard with an 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. The Fortuner Diesel, in contrast, comes with a 6-speed torque converter automatic.
