Updated Skoda Kodiaq will continue to rival the likes of MG Gloster and Toyota Fortuner
Skoda will debut various cars in the Indian market this year as part of its ambitious India 2.0 strategy. The Skoda Kodiaq facelift, which was unveiled today, is one among them. The pre-facelift version was previously available in BS4 format. Because it had not been modified to comply with BS6 emission rules, Kodiaq had to be temporarily halted in India.

2022 Skoda Kodiaq Facelift prices start from Rs 34.99 lakh for the base Style variant. Sportline variant costs Rs 35.99 lakh and top of the line L&K variant costs Rs 37.49 lakh. All prices are ex-sh.
2022 Skoda Kodiaq Facelift Updates

The Skoda Kodiaq will receive a makeover that includes a sharper bonnet design, sleek LED headlights with DRLs, a revamped front grille, and a restyled bumper with a wider air dam. The sharp tail lamps, which feature the new distinctive crystalline design, are one of the primary attractions at the back.

The new 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof, and automated temperature control are all included on the inside of the Kodiaq facelift. A new set of features is also available, including three-zone auto air conditioning, wireless charging, and a 12-speaker Canton sound system, among others.
Skoda Kodiaq Facelift Engine

Kodiaq was available in BS4 format with a 2.0-litre diesel engine that produced 150 ps / 340 Nm. Kodiaq is only available with a 2.0-litre TSI four-cylinder petrol engine this time around. It has a maximum power output of 190 PS at 4,200-6,000 rpm and a maximum torque output of 320 Nm at 1,500-4,200 rpm. It’s paired to a DCT automatic transmission with 7 speeds.
With the Volkswagen Tiguan AllSpace, this engine is already available. The Kodiaq facelift is expected to have numerous drive modes, just like the previous generation. Eco, Normal, Sport, Individual, and Snow drive modes were available on the BS4 model.

When it comes to safety and security, the Kodiaq makeover has a number of additional features. 9 airbags, electronic differential lock, ABS with EBD, multi-collision brake, anti-slip regulation, electronic stability control (ESC), cruise control, and traction control system were all standard on the BS4 model.
Upcoming Skoda Cars

The Slavia sedan, which had its premiere last year, is next in line for release. It’s a new-generation automobile built on the Kushaq platform. It will have the same 1.0 litre TSI and 1.5 litre TSI engines as the Kushaq. It will replace the Rapid from Skoda’s lineup once it is released.
