The new-generation Toyota Land Cruiser LC 300 was teasing for a couple of months from now and Toyota has finally revealed the new SUV. The Land Cruiser LC300 has made drastic under-skin updates. 2022 Toyota Land Cruiser utilizes the TNGA platform which saves about 200kg from its kerb weight.
The LC300 is the seventh generation of Land Cruiser and successor of the LC200 which was launched in 2007. The SUV will get a GR Sport variant specially made for off-roading performance and a 70th-anniversary edition in some markets.

2022 Toyota Land Cruiser Engine and Powertrain
The Land Cruiser LC300 will get a new engine and powertrain option depending upon the markets. The first engine to be offered will be a 3.5 liter twin-turbo V6 petrol engine. This engine will be mated to a 10-speed automatic gearbox. The Engine can generate 409hp and 650Nm of torque and according to Toyota, this will help this heavy SUV to go from 0-100km in 6.7sec.
Moreover, there will also be a 3.3 liter twin-turbo diesel, which will make 305hp and 700Nm of torque. The older 5.7 liter V8 is totally replaced in the new-generation Land Cruiser.

2022 Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 Platform and Dimensions

The New-gen Land cruiser is built on an all-new TNGA platform which makes this SUV Lighter and more agile in turn and stable when it comes to on-road dynamics. The new platform has cut down 200 kg from the total weight of the car and also helps in making 10% more efficient when it comes to C02 emissions.
The off-roader SUV will get all-wheel drive as standard along with three differential locks. In terms of Dimensions, new-gen is more efficient than LC200. The SUV gets a ground clearance of 230 mm and the GR Sport version will be longer than the other version. The wheelbase will be the same on all versions.

The major exterior highlight is a secondary U-shaped vent running along the edge of the grille and new design headlamps. On the other side profile majorly remains unchanged. There will be fog lamps housing on bumper and taillights have grown bigger. The monstrous chrome grille makes it look more aggressive and it’s wider than the one on the LC200.

The SUV gets a completely new interior and features. The cabin has been undergone major changes. The dashboard and steering wheel gets leather all over and that looks luxurious. The instrument cluster and gear sticks look like a single unit and all new dashboards stand out.

Features on the Land Cruiser include a 9.0-inch infotainment touchscreen which is standard and upgradable to 12.3 inches further. Both the screens will be compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as well. Power tailgate will also be available on higher versions.
Other features include wireless smartphone charging, a head-up display, a 360-degree camera, air ionizer, an electrically adjustable steering wheel, and a fingerprint authentication system.
