Because most electric scooters cost more than Rs 1 lakh, two-wheeler manufacturers like as Bajaj Auto, TVS Motor Company, and Ather Energy are intending to introduce more cheap e-scooters. These will be low-cost variations of their current electric scooters, which will be released over the next 12-18 months.

The new low-cost electric scooters from Bajaj, TVS, and Ather are expected to cost between Rs 70,000 and Rs 80,000. The engines in the models will be marginally less powerful than those in the premium versions. Bajaj’s Upcoming Low-Cost Electric Scooter

According to the research, Bajaj Auto has planned five scooters to assist the firm attain a 15% market share in the electric two-wheeler industry by 2024-25. All incoming new scooters will be priced lower than the current model. Bajaj’s first cheap electric scooter (codenamed H107) is expected to go into production in the coming fiscal year. The firm will first create 2,000 units each month, which will be progressively raised to 10,000 units.

Upcoming Low-Cost Electric Scooter – TVS

TVS Motor Company will launch an economical edition of the iQube with 9,000 monthly sales. The electric scooter, codenamed U546, is set to go into production in the first month of 2024. The model will be produced at a monthly pace of 25,000 units.

Ather, An Upcoming Low-Cost Electric Scooter

Ather’s low-cost electric scooter (codenamed 450U) is expected to debut in 2024. It might be the Ather 450X with a lesser specification. The two-wheeler manufacturer plans to produce 30,000 to 33,000 units every month.
