Afghanistan’s First Indigenously Built Supercar – The Mada 9 Car

Taliban-led and -ruled Afghanistan has received recent media attention for a number of reasons. Taliban has managed to remain in the daily headlines since the insurgent group invaded Afghanistan in 2021. Recently, the Taliban displayed an automobile that was made entirely on their own. The Mada 9 is a supercar that isn’t simply an ordinary vehicle. The vehicle was recently unveiled, however, it is still only a prototype. They worked on the car for approximately five years. Abdul Baqi Haqqani, the Taliban’s minister of higher education, displayed the supercar. The automobile was made by an organization called ENTOP.

The vehicle is still not ready for manufacturing, as was already mentioned. At least 30 engineers from ENTOP and the Afghanistan Technical Vocational Institute in Kabul worked together to create it (ATVI). Currently, a Toyota Corolla engine powers the Mada 9 car. This supercar’s engine has been modified.

The head of ATVI, Ghulam Haider Shahamat, told Afghanistan’s TOLO news that the engine has been altered to make it appropriate for higher speeds. ENTOP, the firm that created the vehicle, does, however, intend to equip it with an electric drivetrain in the future.

According to ENTOP’s CEO Mohammad Riza Ahmadi, “It will begin its journey in Afghanistan and may one day go international.” He continued by saying that he hoped the supercar will assist Afghanistan’s reputation abroad by teaching people the value of knowledge. “I would like to thank the dear people of Afghanistan who stood by my side during this time,” he stated. “I would also like to thank the great national businessmen.”

The engineers have tested the vehicle, however there are no videos online that show the vehicle in motion. The automobile is nearly always seen parked in the videos or photos. The interior of the car and its acoustic quality are not shown in the video. It undoubtedly has a sporty and aggressive design.

The aforementioned engine is taken from a Toyota Corolla automobile, one of the most well-known sedans in the nation. The engine has undergone upgrades, although the details of those adjustments are not disclosed. The car’s horsepower and torque numbers have not been made public. It’s unclear whether the car has a front, rear, or mid-engine.

It is a very low-slung supercar that was probably made from the ground up. The nation’s leader displayed a black-only vehicle, down to the huge wheels. For a dynamic appearance, the brake callipers are finished in Red. There are several air vents to channel the air and lessen drag, and the shape appears aerodynamic.

This supercar’s front end also has a grille and a wide lower lip on the bumper to help it stick to the ground. The headlamps and tail lamps have a sleek appearance, and the headlamps are LED units. The Mada 9 will almost certainly be an electric supercar when it is released.
