Indian cricketer Ajinkya Rahane recently took delivery of his new BMW 6 Series GT, in the 630i M Sport variant, which is priced at Rs. 69.90 lakh (ex-showroom).
Ajinkya Rahane, an Indian cricketer and member of the IPL side Kolkata Knight Riders, is the latest celebrity to add new wheels to his garage. The world-class player recently received his new BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo. Rahane purchased a BMW 6 Series GT 630i M Sport for Rs. 69.90 lakh (ex-showroom, India), which offers more comfort and capacity in the second row than the 5 Series in the lineup. It’s also a good opportunity for the cricketer to rest after missing the Indian Premier League this season due to a hamstring ailment (IPL).
The BMW 6 Series GT in spotless white was purchased by Ajinkya Rahane. The 2.0-litre twin-turbo petrol engine in the 630i M Sport produces 187 horsepower and 400 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to an 8-speed transmission that drives the rear wheels. The 6 Series GT can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometres per hour in 6.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 250 kilometres per hour. The 2.0-litre and 3.0-litre diesel engines, which produce up to 620 Nm of peak torque, are also available for the vehicle.
The BMW 6 Series GT has a longer wheelbase than the 5 Series, allowing for more legroom in the second row. It has a 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, a 12.3-inch digital instrument console, ambient lighting, a 360-degree camera, four-zone climate control, and electrically adjustable rear seats, among other features. The model has been restyled to look like the 5 Series, with a bigger kidney grille in the front, redesigned LED headlights, and new bumpers.

Apart from the new BMW 6 Series GT, Rahane also owns the Audi Q5 and has had a Volvo in the past. Interestingly, the cricketer’s first car was the Maruti Suzuki WagonR much like many of us, and Rahane had shared a picture on his social media a couple of years ago reminiscing his humble days.
