Aprilia is preparing to ignite the sub-500cc multi-cylinder bike category tomorrow with the launch of the Aprilia RS457, its fresh new supersport, which was unveiled globally earlier this month. And here’s all you need to know before the launch.
The RS457 preserves the attractiveness of an Aprilia because to its aggressive, ‘correct’ supersport design language. Of course, it draws aesthetic cues from the larger Aprilia supersports.
Aprilia RS457 Engine & Powertrain
Powered by an all-new 457cc liquid-cooled twin-cylinder engine producing 47.6PS, which is greater than the 45PS of the Kawasaki Ninja 400 and the 43.5PS of the KTM RC 390. And, with a kerb weight of 175kg, it is only 3kg heavier than the RC, so it should be a fun ride.
Aprilia RS457 Specs
The RS457 is equipped with a 41mm USD fork and a monoshock with preload adjustability. The braking system consists of 320mm and 220mm discs with dual-channel ABS and a supermoto mode for rear slide. The 17-inch alloy wheels are shod with TVS Eurogrip Protorq Extreme tires.
Aprilia RS457 Features & Price
Even the electronics and features are impressive: TFT display of 5 inches. Bluetooth connectivity is available as an option. There are three ride modes and three levels of traction control. Of course, the launch is tomorrow, and we expect a price tag of roughly Rs 4.25 lakh (ex-showroom).
