Should Audi build it?
Audi’s e-Tron family continues to expand. At the time, there are six models to pick from. The e-Tron GT, RS e-Tron GT, e-Tron crossover, e-Tron Sportback, Q4 e-Tron, and Q4 e-Tron Sportback are the vehicles in question. More electric vehicles are on the road, thanks to Volkswagen’s push for electrification.
Last year, Audi unveiled the A6 e-Tron Quattro concept. The vehicle was primarily a prototype for the next-generation electric Audi A6. However, it also demonstrated to the rest of the world that the corporation is keeping to its established design language. Following that, Audi unveiled the A6 Avant e-Tron Quattro concept earlier this week.

Those two concepts should give us a decent indication of how the remainder of the e-Tron line will appear in the future. X-Tomi Design, a digital (re)design studio, recently created a rendering of an electric A5 Coupe based on the current design language.
This rendering is dubbed the A5 Coupe e-Tron Concept by the artist. The front end is similar to the A6 Avant e-Tron Quattro and A6 Avant e-Tron Quattro ideas. It matches Audi’s corporate look in certain aspects, given that the firm has been doing so for years. The concept’s steeply sloped windshield is preserved in the rendering, which fits the profile of a two-door vehicle.

With the high beltline and low roof, things take a more dramatic turn past the A-pillar, giving it a sleek aspect from the side. Meanwhile, its fender bulges are reminiscent of previous Audi models. It’s also worth noting that X-Tomi has maintained the A5’s trademark rear window shape in this rendering. Of all, it’s up to you to decide if the car is beautiful or cliched.
Should Audi opt to develop it, it should be a worthwhile addition to the e-Tron lineup. However, the odds of production appear to be slim at this time. Audi made no mention of an electric two-door in the near future. Of course, if the corporation approves the concept, it will be a wonderful surprise.
