Auto Expo 2023: Tata’s Two New Petrol Engine Unveils Today

Tata New Petrol Engine – On January 11 and 12, 2023, Delhi hosted the Auto Expo, which was a major success for Tata Motors. The Indian manufacturer has displayed its ICE, CNG-powered, concept, and electric vehicles (EVs), as well as special editions of several of its current models, including the Altroz and the SUV siblings Harrier and Safari. The gasoline engines that the automaker displayed at the occasion represented a milestone in this area.

At the expo, Tata unveiled a 1.2-liter gasoline engine and a 1.5-liter T-GDi gasoline engine. Both the upcoming, strict BS6 emissions regulations and E20 compliance are met by these engines. In other words, they can run on a flex-fuel mixture of gasoline and 20% ethanol.

The 1.2-liter three-cylinder T-GDi engine can generate a peak torque of 225Nm and about 122bhp. The 1.5-liter four-cylinder T-GDi engine is predicted to have a power output of 165 horsepower and torque of 280 Nm.

Another thing to bear in mind is that both engines are made of lightweight aluminum, allowing for greater refinement, improved fuel efficiency, and reduced emissions. According to Tata, parts like the timing chain and valvetrain have been created to ultimately reduce the cost of vehicle maintenance.
