As we previously reported, Bajaj Auto and British company Triumph are collaborating to produce medium displacement motorcycles, with the first one expected to cost around Rs 2 lakhs. Because Royal Enfield already dominates the sector, the Bajaj-Triumph bike will need to adopt retro-classic style in order to compete head-to-head. The price suggests that the future Indo-British bike would be powered by a single-cylinder engine with a displacement of 200cc to 300cc.
It’s worth noting that the bikes’ research and engineering will be overseen by Triumph Motorcycles in the United Kingdom, while manufacture will be handled by Bajaj Autos in India. In the country, Bajaj has just released two 250cc bikes under the Pulsar brand and sells the Dominar 250, KTM 250, and Husqvarna 250. As a result, we can conclude that Bajaj is confident in offering 250cc motorcycles.
