Bmw Motorrad Launches K 1600 Range Of Motorcycles, Pricing Starts At ₹30 Lakh

BMW Motorrad has launched three new motorcycles in the Indian market. They are K 1600 Bagger, K 1600 Grand America and the K 1600 GTL.

BMW Motorrad has launched its touring lineup in India, which includes the K 1600 and K 1250. There are three motorcycles in the K 1600 lineup. Bagger, GTL, and Grand America are available. Each motorcycle has a distinctive design and is built for high-end, fast riding and touring. The standard warranty for the motorcycles is three years. For an additional fee, the warranty can be extended to the fourth and fifth years. The customer can also choose a package that includes roadside assistance.

The 1600 B is a motorcycle designed for relaxed touring in the bagger style. While the 1600 Grand America is designed for grand touring, the 1600 GTL is made for performance touring. Priced at 29,90 lakhs for the Bagger, 32 lakhs for the GTL, and 33 lakhs for the Grand America. Prices are all ex-showroom.

There are subtle differences between all three motorcycles. Some of the features on offer are a type-c charging port, 4 configurable favourite button clusters, LED headlamp, Hill-start control, heating grips, side cases, seat heating and much more.

The K 1600 Bagger, K 1600 Grand America and the K 1600 GTL come with a 6-cylinder, in-line engine that produces 160 hp of max power at 6,750 rpm and peak torque output of 180 Nm at 5,250 rpm. This 1,649 cc engine is designed for torquey power delivery. It is mated to a 6-speed transmission that transfers the power to the rear wheel via a shaft drive. There is throttle by wire technology also on offer.

All the motorcycles come with a 10.25-inch TFT colour display with integrated map navigation and connectivity. It is also connected to an audio system. BMW is also offering dynamic engine brake control and dynamic electronic suspension adjustment with automatic load levelling.

Braking duties on all three motorcycles are done by twin 320 mm disc in the front with four-piston calipers. At the rear, there is a single 320 mm disc with two-piston calipers. There are three riding modes on offer namely, Rain, Road and Dynamic.
