BMW X3 Facelift Launched In India

BMW X3 Facelift launched at Rs 59.90 lakh

The BMW X3 facelift is now available in India, with prices beginning at Rs 59.90 lakh. For the time being, the X3 is only available in two trim levels with a petrol engine. When it comes to the competition, BMW has placed the new X3 in a very competitive position. It competes with the Mercedes GLC, Land Rover Discovery Sport, Audi Q5, and Volvo XC60.

Design Updates

Starting on the outside, the X3 gets a larger kidney grille flanked by new adaptive LED headlights and a redesigned lower bumper. The new 19-inch alloy wheels stick out on the sides (pre-ordered models have larger 20-inch wheels), while the reworked bumper and sharper tail-lamps with new LED inserts give it away as a facelift. The most noticeable update on the inside is a new free-standing 12.35-inch touchscreen in the centre console — the smaller 10.25-inch touchscreen is now available on lesser models. Lower-level control surfaces have also been updated with new graphics, as has the 12.3-inch digital instrument display. Buyers can choose between two models: SportX Plus and M Sport.

Engine Specifications

Unlike the pre-facelift SUV, which offered both petrol and diesel engines, this X3 is now only available in petrol. The SUV is powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine tuned to 30i specifications. The engine produces 252 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque and comes standard with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Both models come equipped with all-wheel drive.

Notable Features

On the technology front, the new X3 improves on the previous model by including adaptive LED headlights as standard. The 10.25-inch touchscreen that was formerly offered is now only available on the SportX trim, while the M Sport gets a larger 12.35-inch touchscreen with gesture control. BMW’s virtual assistant is included in both systems. A new 360-degree camera is also available for the M Sport. Three-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, hands-free parking, cruise control, adaptive suspension (M Sport only), a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel (M Sport only), and a Harman Kardon sound system are among the other options available (M Sport only).
