Numerous car manufacturers, notably BMW, have already released limited editions of some of their automobiles in time for the 2024 holiday season. The BMW X7, another model from the German manufacturer, now comes in a limited-edition version called the Signature Edition. There is only one xDrive40i M Sport model available in India, and it costs Rs 1.33 crore (ex-showroom), which is Rs 3 lakh more than the variation on which it is based. Let’s examine its differences from the reference model.
Exterior
The majority of the modifications are only aesthetic because it’s a limited edition. The upgraded LED headlights with Swarovski glass cut crystals and chrome bars in the grille are features of the X7 Signature Edition. Additionally, satin-finished aluminum window beltlines and roof rails are included. Here, the LED tail lights have new internal components and a chrome bar connecting them that has a smoked glass impression.
Interior
Alcantara cushions, crystal door pins, and a leather instrument panel surround are just a few of the interior upgrades that BMW has made. The decor of the cabin is white and grey, and an ambient air package (air purifier) is included.
The X7 Signature Edition features a panoramic sunroof, 14-color ambient lighting, and a connected screen arrangement consisting of a 14.9-inch infotainment unit and a 22.3-inch digital driver’s display. It also comes equipped with connected car technology, a heads-up display, and a 16-speaker Harman Kardon music system.
Several airbags, a 360-degree camera, and electronic stability control (ESC) all contribute to passenger safety. Additionally, it has advanced driving-assistance systems (ADAS), such as driver drowsiness detection and adaptive cruise control.
Powertrain
The limited edition SUV has not undergone any mechanical changes. It retains the 3-liter inline six-cylinder twin-turbo (386 PS/520 Nm) petrol engine from the X7. BMW provides it with an eight-speed automated transmission that powers all four wheels.
Rivals of the basic model that the BMW X7 Signature Edition faces off against are the Audi Q7, Mercedes-Benz GLS, and Volvo XC90.
