Car Sales Report October 2021
In October 2021 auto industry witness growth in car sales as compared to the last month. Although the company says they have lost almost 40 percent of production due to the semiconductor shortage. . This month of October, a total 2,60,067 units are sold. As usual Maruti Suzuki has topped the chart. Followed by Hyundai, Tata, Mahindra and Kia are in Top five selling car brands. 1. Maruti Suzuki
Maruti Suzuki witnessed increase in car sales for the October month as compared to the kast month. But as compared to the last year. Its sales dropped around 33 percent of Sales. Maruti Suzuki sold a total of 1,08,991 Units this month.
2. Hyundai
This month Hyundai has also faced a huge drop in sales. The sales growth of the company fell by 34.2 percent as compared to the last year. Notably, Hyundai has sold 37,021 units this month.
3. Tata
Tata motors had a stable month. It continued to be on the third position. It also gained good Market Share in October 2021. The company sold around 33,926 units in October. The all new Tata Punch was effective to increase the company sales. Tata Punch posts 8,453 units in its first month of launch.
4. Mahindra
The month of October for Mahindra was good. It bagged the 4th place in charts with good sales in this month. M&M sold 20,130 Units this month. The company has recently started delivery of its premium model the XUV 700.
5. Kia
The Korean automaker slide down to rank five this month. Although the company sold more models compared to last year. The company currently holds three models in its lineup. Kia sold a total of 16,331 units in October 2021.
6. Toyota
The Japanese Automaker have recently launched Rebadgged products in India. The company seen growth of 1% as compared to last year. Toyota sold a total of 16,331units in October 2021. The makers recently revealed the Belta Sedan and Rumion MPV models wich are rebadgged Ciaz and Ertiga respectively.
7. Renault
The French car manufacturers sold a total 8,910 units. Renault lost its market share as compared to last month. Majority of the sales came from the Kwid, Triber, and Kiger. Renault recently teased its Arkana crossover which will rival with likes Creta and Seltos.
8. Honda
The Japanese manufacturers seems to be dominating in Indian market. Honda also made its place in the top 10. Honda have sold 8,108 units in October 2021. The new Honda Amaze was also dispatched this month.
9. Nissan
All thanks to Magnite, Nissan had a stable month. Nissan sold 3,913 units in October 2021. As compared to the last month the company had a growth of 39%.
10. Volkswagen
The biggest automotive group in the world did great in the Indian market. The German automakers made its place in the top 10. Volkswagen sold 3,077 units this month. It beats MG motors who earlier lead them in the list.
