Citroen Premium Hatchback Spotted In Sans Camouflage

The Citroen C3 will be the French automaker’s second model in India, with a debut planned for the first part of this year. In September of last year, the premium hatchback made its global debut in India. New spy photographs of the Citroen C3 for 2022 have appeared online, and this time we get to view the car in its natural state. On the Chennai expressway, at least two test mules of the C3 hatchback were seen on camera undertaking a road test.

The company’s new Common Modular Platform (CMP), which was created for expanding countries like India and South America, will underpin the future premium hatchback. It’s the first of three new models to be released in India as part of the brand’s C-Cubed initiative.The Citroen C3 has a distinctive appearance, with two chrome lines extending from each side of the logo and leading to the split LED DRLs, giving the impression of being one single unit. The car is equipped with halogen headlamps, grille cladding, and bumper skid plates made of aluminium. Faux roof rails, wrapped-around LED tail lamps, and a hefty rear bumper are all included on the C3.

Interior And Design

The car has a well-designed interior with a dual-tone colour scheme that matches the appearance. The dashboard panel is the same colour as the exterior. A 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Mirror Screen, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto is also included. A flat-bottom multi-functional steering wheel, auto climate control, a USB charger, a 12V outlet, and other features are included in the vehicle.

Engine And Gearbox

The car’s engine options and other characteristics have yet to be released. It will most likely be powered by a 1.2-litre turbocharged three-cylinder engine. According to rumours, a 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbocharged diesel will be available. It would be a Made-in-India product with a local content of above 90%. We anticipate a price range of Rs. 6 lakh to Rs. 10 lakh (ex-showroom). It will compete against the Hyundai i20, Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Honda Jazz, and Tata Altroz when it is released.
