Porsche Taycan Deliveries Commence
In November 2021, Porsche India launched its first-ever electric vehicle, the Taycan electric sports car, with a starting price of 1.50 crore (ex-showroom, India). The Porsche Taycan electric sports vehicle has now begun to be delivered in India, with the first Taycan Turbo, coated in Green Mamba Metallic colour, being delivered at Porsche Centre Delhi-NCR. Club Leather Interior Olea in Truffle Brown covers the interior of the Rs. 2.08 crore Taycan Turbo. The Porsche Taycan competes in the niche category against the Audi e-Tron GT and comes in four trim levels: Taycan, Turbo, Turbo S, and 4S.

Porsche Taycan Technical Specifications

The Porsche Taycan Turbo has twin electric motors, one on each axel, that create 625bhp and 850Nm and are powered by a 93.4kWh battery with a stated range of 420 kilometres. On an industrial phase-three 11kW AC outlet, such as those installed at home by EV owners, this battery can be charged to 100% in 9 hours. A 50kW quick charger can fully charge the batteries in about an hour and a half, while a 350kW ultra-rapid charger would do it in only 20 minutes. (Meta-calculator.com) It is also possible to charge using a conventional home outlet, albeit charging periods would be longer.
Interior And Features
The Porsche Taycan’s interior is perhaps the most sophisticated of any Porsche, with premium materials selected to enhance the car’s luxury appearance. The Taycan’s technology includes twin displays that manage the car’s functions and infotainment, as well as haptic input from the screens. A third screen for the passenger can be added for an additional fee. The Porsche Taycan’s boot has a volume of 366 litres, but the batteries take up the most of it. Under the hood, however, there is an additional 84L of baggage space.
