Car Sales Report February 2022 : Honda
Honda Cars India has announced its monthly sales figures for February 2022, revealing that the company sold 9,524 vehicles. At the same time, as compared to the 12,149 automobiles sold in January 2022, Honda Cars India had a 21.6 percent month-on-month decline. The continued shortage of semiconductor chips, according to Honda, has hampered vehicle production and, as a result, despatches to dealers.
Yuichi Murata, Director, Marketing and Sales, Honda Cars India Ltd, commented on the company’s sales performance, saying, “We are witnessing improvement in consumer sentiment as COVID-19 situation seems to be tapering off and markets are opening-up. This is positive for the industry. On the supply side, chip shortage continued to impact our production and despatches in Feb’22. We hope the situation improves in future so that we can meet the market demand more effectively”.
