Honda To Launch New SUV April End – Report Here

Honda, the Japanese automaker, will finally have a domestically manufactured SUV for the Indian market. The business just unveiled a teaser for its future midsize SUV, which will compete with the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, VW Taigun, and other models. Honda has stated that the new SUV will be available in the summer of 2023, from April to June.

The Release of a New Honda SUV and its Expected Price

While the specific debut date has yet to be confirmed, we anticipate that the new Honda SUV will come in our market before Diwali in 2023. The public premiere is planned for Q2, 2023, around April-May, with bookings beginning in mid-2023. It will be available with both gasoline and powerful hybrid engines. The petrol form of the SUV might start at Rs 10. (Modafinil) 5 lakh, while the powerful hybrid model is expected to cost between Rs 18 lakh and Rs 22 lakh.

Key Specifications for the New Honda SUV

Honda Car India has only released one teaser photograph of the SUV, which depicts its silhouette. The teaser shows that the new Honda SUV would borrow stylistic ideas from the brand’s worldwide SUVs, such as the new CR-V and HR-V. It has an upright front and a multi-slat grille with a huge Honda emblem, as well as broad wraparound headlights. Above the headlights are LED daytime running lights. A linked DRL theme or a silver finish bar linking the LED DRLs might be used.

The forthcoming Honda SUV will sport a coupe-like shape with a tapering top, similar to the current HR-V. The SUV boasts big diamond cut alloy wheels and hefty cladding above the wheel arches. The muscular front bumper houses a larger air dam and cicular fog lights. A fake skid plate is also evident beneath the bumper. The new Honda SUV will be 4.2-4.3 metres long and will be built on the totally revamped Amaze platform.

The new Honda SUV is said to have entirely different interiors than the Amaze and City sedans already on the market in India. It’s anticipated to have the same all-electronic design and screen technology as the new Accord and CR-V sold in foreign markets. It will most likely get a new 10.2-inch digital driver display as well as a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system.

The next Honda SUV is also expected to include a camera-based advanced driver assistance system, or ADAS, like the new City hybrid. The ADAS technology, dubbed ‘Honda Sensing,’ will include features such as collision mitigation braking, road departure mitigation, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, and high-beam assist. Six airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, VSM, hill launch aid, 360-degree surround view system, an electronic parking brake, and other features are expected.

Engine Alternatives
It will most likely be known as the new Honda Elevate, as the name was registered by Honda Car India in 2021. The base model will be driven by a 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine with 121bhp and 145Nm of torque. A 6-speed manual transmission and a CVT automatic gearbox will be available.

The hybrid version will include a 1.5-litre Atkinson cycle engine with e:HEV hybrid technology and two electric motors. The gasoline engine has a max output of 98bhp and 109bhp with electric assistance. The total torque output is 253 Nm. The SUV, like the City hybrid, will have a single fixed-gear ratio and three driving modes: engine, electric vehicle, and hybrid.
