Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos Rival Honda SUV Leaked

Honda intends to launch a new SUV in India in 2023 to compete with the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. The Honda SUV RS Concept was unveiled last year at the GIIAS 2021 in Indonesia. A production-ready version of the concept car has now been spotted without camouflage. It has an upright stance and body cladding. The compact SUV will go up against the Perodua Ativa, Daihatsu Rocky, and Toyota Raize. Consider the Honda SUV RS Concept Production Version.

The spied car, as seen in the video above, is essentially a watered-down version of the original concept. It has a traditional grille with a chrome bar, a mesh design, and large headlamps. A sliver skid plate-style trim and tail lamp clusters are also visible. A decent-sized spoiler, 3D-style tail lamps, and inverted L-shaped LED signatures are also present. The new vehicle is expected to include some of the same features as the latest Honda City, such as ADAS safety features. The headlights, like the City, merge with the front grille.

Honda SUV RS Specs

The Honda SUV RS Concept is expected to be powered by a 1.5-liter petrol engine, a 1.5-liter diesel engine, and a hybrid powertrain. It will be available with both manual and automatic transmissions. While Honda has yet to confirm it, the upcoming vehicle is essentially a C-segment SUV (below the current HR-V). The Honda SUV RS Concept Production Version is expected to be released before the updated Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. It will also compete with the Tata Nexon and the Hyundai Venue.
