Hyundai Stargazer MPV To Be Unveil In August 2022

The long-awaited Hyundai Stargazer MPV will make its debut in Indonesia this year, as we previously reported. According to Indonesian media, the new Stargazer MPV will go on sale in August at the 2022 GIIAS (Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show).

Hyundai dealers will begin providing new product training for their personnel soon, according to the article. Hyundai, on the other hand, is yet to begin taking pre-orders for the new Stargazer MPV. It will compete against vehicles such as the Toyota Avanza, Mitsubishi Xpander, and Suzuki Ertiga.

The DKI Jakarta Motor Vehicle Sales Value (NKJB) website has also registered the new Hyundai Stargazer moniker. According to reports, the new 3-row MPV will be available in four trim levels: Active, Trend, Style, and Prime. The MPV is projected to cost between Rp 155,000,000 (about INR 8.23 lakh) and Rp 202,000,000 in Indonesia (Approx INR 10.72 lakh).

The Active and Trend trims will be available with either a manual or automatic transmission, while the Style and Prime trims will only be available with an automatic transmission. It will most likely be powered by the Creta’s SmartStream 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. This engine has a peak torque of 143.8Nm at 4,500rpm and can produce 113.4bhp at 6,400rpm. Transmission options will include a 6-speed manual and an automatic transmission called IVT (Intelligent Variable Transmission).

been spotted testing multiple times in Indonesia and the Korean market. It features the traditional 3-row MPV styling and is likely to measure around 4.5 meters in length. It has the traditional cab-forward bodystyle and features split headlamp setup, a uniquely styled grille inspired by the new Tucson, a shark fin antenna and a sloping roofline.

The new Stargazer is expected to be offered in 6 and 7-seat layout. The spy images reveal that the new model will have uniquely styled 7-spoke alloy wheels. It is reported that the new model will come with the Hyundai SmartSense feature.
