“Such strategic alliances are critical in advancing the adoption of Electric Vehicles by customers to realise the national objective of carbon neutrality,” the manufacturer claims. This partnership will boost the country’s electric mobility mission by providing end-to-end EV charging infrastructure at HMIL dealerships, as well as supply, installation, and commissioning of home charging for HMIL EV customers, thereby improving customer convenience and ease of adoption of electric vehicles.”

Hyundai will debut the revised Kona EV and Ioniq 5 electric crossover this year as part of its EV future roadmap. Hyundai’s flagship electric vehicle, the Ioniq 5, will compete with the incoming Kia EV6. The model is the foundation for Hyundai’s E-GMP (Electric Global Modular Platform) skateboard platform. It’s the company’s first all-electric vehicle, constructed from the ground up around the batteries and electric motors.

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 comes with two powertrain options in the global market: a single-motor layout for the cheaper trim and a dual-motor layout for the higher trim. The former has 169 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque and is RWD, while the latter has 325 horsepower and 605 Nm. A 77.4kWh battery pack with a range of 502km (WLTP cycle) and a 58kWh battery pack with a range of 385km when completely charged are available.
