The back seats have received special attention from MG Motor, and they now provide greater creature comforts than before. A centre armrest with individual cupholders, a centre headrest for all three seats, and rear AC vents for further comfort enhance rear seat comfort. In addition, the inside of the 2022 MG ZS EV will be overhauled, likely borrowing design influences from the MG Astor. MG is also expected to add a sunroof to the ZS EV, as well as a new instrument cluster and touchscreen infotainment system.

MG ZS EV Exterior
The MG ZS EV will have subtle but noticeable exterior alterations to improve its overall appeal. The radically updated front receives a covered grille, similar to what we’ve seen on traditional EVs, and the charging plug is moved to the left of the MG badge on the grille, from behind the MG logo. The front bumper has been redesigned to include a bigger central air dam as well as vertical intakes on both ends. The MG ZS EV will now ride on revised 17-inch alloy wheels in profile. The back gets a makeover as well, with new taillights and revised bumpers. The rest of the features from the 2022 MG ZS EV, such as the LED headlights and LED DRLs, are also carried over.

Specifications
Although it hasn’t been confirmed, the 2022 MG ZS EV might have a larger battery pack, giving it a longer range. If not, a 44.5kWh battery pack will be retained, which drives a permanent magnet synchronous motor with 141bhp and 353Nm of peak torque. The MG ZS EV can go 419 kilometres on a full charge before needing to recharge the battery. For this, the firm is expanding its 5-way charging ecosystem, which includes free AC fast chargers at homes and workplaces, portable in-car charging cables, DC superfast charging stations at dealerships, a 24-hour charge-on-the-go service, and charging stations in satellite cities and tourist destinations.
