Isuzu Motors India is now the biggest commercial vehicle exporter in India. That is a tremendous accomplishment given the competition it confronts from Tata Motors and Mahindra & Mahindra. When we talk about Isuzu, most people are only interested in the V-Cross lifestyle pickup truck. For quite some time, it has been one of the most popular products in its category. However, Isuzu is well-known worldwide for its tough, capable, and dependable commercial vehicles. It exports a lot of these from India.
Isuzu is Leading Commercial Vehicles Exporter from India
According to the official press release, Isuzu Motors India (IMI) achieved a significant milestone by being India’s top exporter of commercial vehicles in fiscal year 2024-25. During this time, it exported an amazing 20,312 units, representing a healthy 24% increase over the same period last year. In FY2023-24, this figure was only 16,329 units. Furthermore, Isuzu Motors India has continuously placed as one of India’s top three CV exporters in recent years.
IMI has a modern manufacturing facility in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh. It manufactures vehicles for both left- and right-hand drive markets in Asia and the Middle East. These countries include Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, and Jordan. This manufacturing plant also recently produced its 100,000th vehicle, which is worth noting. Clearly, it is an important and critical location for Isuzu’s global activities.
