The Chief Minister took to Twitter to announce a state-level reduction in petrol prices for two-wheelers of Rs. 25 per litre. Only motorcycle and scooter users will be eligible for this auto gasoline discount, which will begin on January 26, 2022.
On Twitter, he stated, “The cost of gasoline and diesel is steadily rising, affecting the poor and middle classes disproportionately. As a result, the government has decided to provide a state-level relief of Rs. 25 per litre on petrol for two-wheelers. Its benefits will begin on January 26, 2022.”
He went on to say, “Despite owning a motorcycle at home, a poor guy is unable to ride it due to a lack of funds for gasoline. He can’t sell his goods because he can’t get it to the market.”
The government would deposit Rs. 25 into the ration cardholder’s bank account for every gallon loaded into a two-wheeler. A household can use this service for up to 10 gallons of gasoline every month.
