Kia To Launch Electric Car In India

Kia is getting set to enter the Indian market with an electric vehicle (EV). The Kia EV6 nameplate was trademarked in mid-2021, but the company has filed five trademark applications for EV6 Light, EV6 Air, EV6 Earth, and EV6 Water. There is yet no official information on the impending Kia electric vehicle. The Kia EV6 electric crossover is expected to arrive this year, according to rumours. The EV6 trims are likely to employ the most recent trademarks. In global markets, the EV6 is available in three trim levels: Light, Wind, and GT-Line.

About Kia EV6

The Kia EV6 electric crossover comes with two battery pack configurations that give electricity to the rear-mounted motor: 58kWh and 77.4kWh. The smaller battery pack produces 167bhp and 349Nm of torque, according to the manufacturer. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in about 8 seconds. The larger capacity configuration produces 225 horsepower and 349 Nm, and it speeds from zero to 100 kilometres per hour in 7.2 seconds. The EV6 AWD’s dual-motor setup boasts combined output of 320bhp and torque of 604Nm. It can accelerate from a standstill to 100 kilometres per hour in five seconds, with a top speed of 188 kilometres per hour. On a full charge, the 77.4kWh battery pack with AWD and RWD drivetrains provides a range of 441km and 500km, respectively.

The Kia EV6 boasts a long list of standard technologies, including Level 2 Highway Autonomy and Highway Driving Assist 2. A 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with the newest smartphone connectivity, a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, wireless phone charger, 8-way power adjustable driver seat, passenger control HVAC settings, and many other goodies are included in the list.
