Kia Motors made its Indian debut with the Kia Seltos, and it has since performed admirably with its feature-rich and VFM offerings. The new-generation Kia Carnival and the Kia Seltos facelift are expected to arrive in the country next year.
The facelifted Kia Seltos will compete with midsize SUVs such as the Hyundai Creta, VW Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, and the new Grand Vitara. The SUV will make its Indian debut in early 2023, with improved features, revised exterior styling, and advanced safety features. A new digital instrument cluster, a new touchscreen infotainment system, new LED lights, redesigned bumpers, and new alloy wheels are among the notable changes.
The powertrain options, on the other hand, are likely to remain similar to the current iterations, with the Kia Seltos facelift offering 1.5L NA petrol, 1.5L turbo diesel, and 1.4L turbocharged petrol engines. All of these engines are available with both manual and automatic transmissions.
The new-generation Kia Carnival has been on the market for a while, but the brand has yet to bring this new iteration of the premium MPV to the Indian market. According to reports, the new Carnival will be showcased at the upcoming 2023 Auto Expo prior to its launch in the country. This new iteration features not only updated styling, but also larger dimensions and a luxurious cabin.
The New Kia Carnival
The new Carnival, like the Seltos facelift, is expected to include improved safety and technology. Blind spot assist, lane keeping assist, surround view monitor, forward collision avoidance assist, and high beam assist are among the features available.
While multiple engine options are available in global markets, the Indian-spec version is expected to use the same 2.2L diesel engine that produces 200 bhp and 440 Nm of torque. More information is not yet available.
