LR Range Rover Waiting Period in Dubai Now Till 2024

UAE was among the last countries to experience a serious impact from the semiconductor crisis. Up until the end of 2021, things were manageable, but at the beginning of 2022, things started to get really bad. Land Rover is the brand that is suffering the most out of all the others. As of now, UAE residents won’t be able to purchase a Land Rover until 2024. This is why.

1. Range Rover Velar

The Velar has the shortest wait time out of all the Land Rover models currently on the market. A little over a year is currently the Velar’s waiting period. The likelihood is that you will receive your car in December 2023 if you decide to make a reservation now. Only one trim of the Velar is offered; it costs AED 312,500 (roughly Rs 70 lakhs) and has a 300 BHP 2.0 litre turbo petrol engine.

2. Defender 90/110 –

The twins who are most impacted by the semiconductor crisis are the Defenders. The current backlog of orders has grown to the point where those who have already made reservations will receive their vehicles in 2024. Bookings have been closed for a while and won’t likely reopen until all current orders have been filled. Bookings could begin in January 2025 or after December 2024. For the Defender 90 base model, the starting price is AED 250,000, or roughly Rs 55 lakhs.

There is also a lengthy waiting list for the recently released Range Rover and Range Rover Sport. By the end of 2024 or the beginning of 2025, the current booking backlog is anticipated to be cleared. Only a cancellation would increase the likelihood of an early delivery. The base models of the Range Rover lineup start at AED 450,000 (roughly Rs 1 crore).
