March Car Launches: Toyota Hilux to Maruti Ertiga Facelift

The year 2022 is arrived, and we’ve already witnessed several new automotive releases. There will also be some significant debuts in March. Today, we’ve compiled a list of 5 cars set to debut in March 2022.

1. Toyota Hilux

The unveiling of the Hilux pick-up vehicle was widely anticipated. The Hilux’s specifications were revealed in January, but the pricing will be revealed in March. The Hilux will be powered by a single 2.8-litre diesel engine that also powers the Fortuner. It has a maximum power of 204 PS and a peak torque of 500 Nm. A 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission will be available. On the manual transmission, the torque output will be limited to 420 Nm. There will be two options available: High and Low. On both models, a 444 system will be standard.

2. Toyota Glanza

In February, Maruti Suzuki introduced the Baleno Facelift. Toyota will now release the Glanza in March. It will have a slightly different set of diamond-cut alloy wheels, as well as distinct LED Daytime Running Lamps, according to leaks. It will be mechanically identical to the Baleno Facelift. As a result, a 1.2-litre four-cylinder naturally aspirated engine with 90 PS of maximum power and 113 Nm of peak torque will be used. A 5-speed manual gearbox or a 5-speed AMT will be available as transmission options.

3. MG ZS EV Facelift

This month, MG will update the ZS EV Facelift. It is scheduled to debut on March 7th. The MG Astor will now form the basis for the ZS EV. Instead of the 44.5 kWh battery pack that powers the current ZS EV, the 2022 ZS EV will be equipped with a 51 kWh battery pack. The façade and interior have been updated to appear more modern.

4. Volkswagen Virtus

The Virtus will be unveiled globally on March 8th, according to Volkswagen. The debut in India, on the other hand, will take place in the second half of May. The Virtus will take the place of the Vento in the lineup, but will be placed higher. The MQB-A0-IN platform will serve as the foundation. Two turbocharged petrol engines will be available. A 1.0-litre TSI with 115 PS and 178 Nm and a 1.5-litre TSI with 150 PS and 250 Nm will be available. Both engines will come with a 6-speed manual transmission as standard. The 1.5 TSI will have a 7-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic transmission, while the 1.0 TSI will have a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.

5. Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Facelift

The Ertiga is getting a makeover from Maruti Suzuki. The facelift will be minor, and test mules have already been spotted on the roads. The new front grille will be the only visual update, according to them. The engine will remain unchanged. As a result, it will be a 1.5-litre four-cylinder normally aspirated engine with 105 PS and 138 Nm of torque. A 5-speed manual transmission will be standard. According to rumours in the media, the Ertiga Facelift will be equipped with a new 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission to replace the current 4-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
