Mercedes-Benz India just completed its highest financial year in FY 24-25, selling 18,928 vehicles and SUVs. The German automaker recorded a 4% gain in sales over the previous fiscal year, with sales in the premium and BEV segments driving the majority of the improvement. During the era, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class was the brand’s best-selling model, while the EQS SUV was the best-selling electric vehicle.
During the fiscal year, Mercedes-Benz’s EQ series of battery-electric vehicles experienced significant growth of 51%, albeit on a modest basis. While the company has not published exact sales data, it has indicated that EVs accounted for 7% of total sales, implying that around 1,300 BEVs were sold during this time period. The EQS SUV was Mercedes-Benz India’s best-selling EV. It also noted a spike in demand for EVs in the Top-End Luxury market, such as the EQS Maybach Night Series and the G 580 SUV with EQ Technology, with waiting times for both EVs reaching 12 months.
Luxury Segment Drives Sales Growth

Mercedes-Benz’s top-end luxury market, which includes automobiles priced over Rs 1.50 crore, continues to rise significantly, with sales up 34%. The business highlighted high demand for cars like as the S-Class, Mercedes-Maybach Night Series, G 580 with EQ Technology, EQS SUV, and AMG G 63, with wait times of a year for the G 63 and four months for all other variants.
Bestselling Mercedes-Benz In FY25

In fiscal year 24-25, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class long-wheelbase remained the company’s top contributor to sales. The sedan, the most recent incarnation of which was unveiled in October 2024, is available in three models in India, with prices ranging from Rs 79.50 lakh to Rs 92.50 lakh. In addition to the E-Class, vehicles such as the C-Class, GLC, and GLE SUVs contributed significantly to the company’s sales. Furthermore, as has been the case in recent years, SUVs accounted for the majority of the company’s sales (60%).
Sales Down In Q1
However, the new calendar year has not started well for the corporation, which reported a decrease in revenue during the first quarter of 2025. The company’s sales during this period were 4,775 units, an 11.8 percent decrease. The main reason for the dip is a 28% drop in sales of the company’s entry-level range, which includes models such as the A-Class Limousine and the GLA SUV.
