In the year 2021, the company has grown by 21.5 percent for Hector, 145 percent for ZS EV, and 252 percent for Gloster when compared to the year 2020.

In 2021, MG Motor India sold 40,273 vehicles, up 43 percent from the previous year. We’d like to remind our readers that sales in 2020 were hampered by a nationwide lockdown, and the auto sector had zero sales in April 2020. As a result, the large increase in sales year over year can be linked to new markets opening in the country. MG Motor has seen an increase in sales of its various car lines, as well as a strong response to the recently released MG Astor.

MG Motor India’s President and Managing Director, Rajeev Chaba, stated, “We expect the situation to remain fluid due to uncontrollable factors such as the Omicron threat, a global semiconductor scarcity, and the possibility of inflation due to rising material costs. Resilient demand trends, on the other hand, give us reason to be cautiously optimistic. The uncertainty is likely to persist for the first six months of 2022, and in some form throughout the year. MG Motor will keep a close eye on these variables and adjust its operations to satisfy demand.”

As compared to the year 2020, the company has exhibited growth of 21.5 per cent for the Hector, 145 per cent for ZS EV, and 252 per cent for Gloster in the year 2021. MG has closed the year with a significant backlog and is trying to meet the growing demand.
