Upcoming 7 Off-road SUVs In India 2021 | New 4 Wheel Drive Cars Launching Soon In India
Year 2021 will witness a launch of many off-road SUVs which will aslo have 4 wheel drives. The new-gen SUVs will be wider and longer than before. (anewcareer) The popular upcoming SUV include cars like Maruti Suzuki Jimny, Isuzu MUX, Toyota Hilux, New 2022 Scorpio, RAV4 Hybrid, and Jeep. Moreover,.these cars are expected to launch in the next few months.
1. Maruti Suzuki Jimny 5 door
Recently, the famous and well know manufacturer Maruti Suzuki has initiated the export of Jimny. This is a 5 door model and is being exported in other countries from India. However, it is expected to launch till the end of this year. Further, the vehicle will have a 1.5 litre 4 cylinder K-15B petrol engine generating 101 bhp of power and 130 Nm of torque. According to the league, the 1 litre petrol variant will give a mileage of 13.6 km. However, being a off-road SUV, it will compete with Mahindra Thar. The expected price is to be 10 lakh INR.
2. New Hexa Safari
Tata Motors had showcased the Hexa Safari Edition at the Auto Expo 2020. However, this car was to come as the successor to the Safari that was discontinued as it could not get a BS6 update. Safari Edition will have 1 engine option which will be a 2.2-litre diesel engine. Further, it will come in 4×4 and 4×2 variants. However, the launch date for this Hexa Safari Edition is not declared by the company. The launch is expected after the COVID 19 situation comes under control and is expected to be priced at 14 lakh INR.
3. 2021 MUX SUV
The all new upgraded Mux was unveiled on 30th of July, 2021. Being a modern-day 4×4, the 2021 Isuzu MUX is provided with a 4 cylinder, 3.0-liter turbocharged diesel engine. Furthermore, it puts out 187hp and a healthy 450Nm of maximum torque and is exclusively mated to a 6-speed automatic torque converter. In all likelihood, the 2021 Isuzu MU-X should make it to India next year.
4. New Toyota Hilux
Toyota is expected to launch its Hilux in India in January 2022. The vehicles facelift version was launched recently, however, the new Hilux is said to be a look a like of fortuner and innova. Moreover, it is said to be launched only with single engine option namely a diesel engine which will produce 150bhp of power and 360 Nm of torque. It’s price is expected to be slightly higher than isuzu MUX that is 17 lakh INR, while the top end variant may cost around 25 lakh INR.
5. 2022 Mahindra Scorpio
The leading automaker Mahindra has a queue of 6 cars which would be launched till the 2026 comes. Images of the new Mahindra Scorpio are leaked on the internet which proved the improvement in performance including interiors. However, the price is expected to be 12 lakh INR and is said to be launched in January 2022.
6. 2021 RAV4 Hybrid
Toyota is getting hands on launching a new SUV in the Indian market. According to reports, it was expected to be launched in the mid 2021. However, it would be imported in India in limited numbers. In addition to a hybrid system, it will have a 2.5 litre petrol engine that will produce 218 bhp power. The price of this vehicle is expected to be around 60 lakh INR and could be launched till December 2021.
7. New Jeep Compass
Jeep is going to launch a 7 seater SUV which is expected to launch till end of 2021. It is said that the production of this.new 7 seater adventurer will begin in April 2022 and could be launched in May or June. The new Jeep will run on a 2.0 litre 4 cylinder multi-jet turbo diesel engine and will generate 200 horses while, the same engine produces 153 horsepower in Jeep Compass. Further, it will be paired with a 9 speed rear transmission and the top variant will be produced with all wheel drive. The new Jeep could cost around 40 lakh INR respectively.
