New Maruti Suzuki WagonR Flex-Fuel Prototype Displayed
Maruti Suzuki, an Indian carmaker, displayed the Wagon R flex-fuel prototype at the Auto Expo 2023. By March 2023, the business intends to have made its whole portfolio ethanol compliant. The Wagon R flex-fuel prototype was on display at the SIAM Ethanol Technology Exhibition in Delhi, and it would be developed in India with cooperation from Suzuki Corporation in Japan.
For the uninitiated, the Wagon R flex-fuel prototype will run on any ethanol-petrol combination ranging from 20% (E20) to 85% (E85) (E85). The change is likely to drastically save gasoline costs.
The regular model’s fascia has been kept. To differentiate it from the standard model, a bright green sticker runs over the width of the bumper.
The ‘Flex Fuel’ logo on the side profile distinguishes it from the standard model. In the production model, the bold graphic may be omitted. Furthermore, the exhibition model has body-side mouldings and black multi-spoke alloy wheels.
Sporty roof rails, a wiper with a washer, Flex Fuel logos, and a bright green strip between the reflectors distinguish the rear area.
The car will be driven by a 1.2-liter engine that produces 89bhp at 6,000rpm and 113Nm of torque at 4,400rpm. The hatchback has a five-speed manual gearbox. The engine has been retuned to accept flex fuel.
The inside is designed in a simple two-tone scheme. The car includes a huge touchscreen entertainment system in the middle, as well as music controls on the steering wheel.
