New Skoda Kodiaq 2021 Launched: Design, Interior, Price, And Features.

The Czech automaker Skoda auto has unveiled the New Skoda Kodiaq in a global event today(13th April). The car will go on sale in Europe in the month of July and later on in India and other markets. The new Kodiaq has plenty of new features and updates over a previous generation which was launched in 2016. Which was a huge success for the company in the global market with 6,00,000 units sold globally.

Three models where showcased in the event which are Kodiaq RS, Sportline and KODIAQ LAURIN & KLEMENT. The RS is a more sportier version from the company which features 2-liter TSI engine.

2021 Kodiaq Exterior

The 2021 Kodiaq features plenty of changes in design as well as technical specifications. The design of Kodiaq is done by Oliver Stefani who is head of design at Skoda auto. The car features a front grill that is more upfront than before. It also gets the restyled led headlight setup with LED DRLs. The rear section has crystalline LED taillights which are sleeker than before.

Talking about the interior the Kodiaq will get leather seats with heating and massage function. Eco seats are made using recycled vegetable material can be seen in some variants. The new two-spoke steering wheel will be the center of attraction on the dashboard which will be equipped with multiple buttons and functions. Some other features include LED ambient lighting, a new Canton sound system with ten speakers, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 9.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with connective features.

Skoda Kodiaq Engine

The new Skoda Kushaq comes with a 2.0-liter Evo TDI engine with two states of tunes 150 Hp and 200Hp. But the 1.5-liter TSI petrol engine which can generate 150 horsepower and on to 6-speed MT will be the choice for India. The Global version will be on to 7-speed DSG with an all-wheel-drive configuration. The 2.0-liter might get entry to India which will make 190 Hp.

Skoda Kodiaq India

Skoda Auto will launch the Kodiaq firstly for the European market and then in India in the 4th quarter of 2021. India specs of the new car are still on the covers and we can expect it somewhere around after the global launch. New Skoda will rival the VW Tiguan Allspace, Ford Endeavour, Toyota Fortuner, and MG Gloster in India. Skoda will launch two other models – the new-generation Octavia and the new Kushaq before the launch of Kodiaq.
