New Verna and Air Micro SUV From Hyundai To Launch This Year

The new-generation Verna car was expected to be unveiled at the 2023 Auto Show, however, this did not occur. The business is also working on a new compact SUV, internally designated Ai3, that will compete with the Tata Punch. These two brand-new Hyundai vehicles will be available before the end of the year.

Hyundai Verna New

The new-generation Verna has been observed testing on Indian roads several times. According to reports, Hyundai has accelerated the development of the new Verna because the introduction of the new Creta has been put back to 2024. The new model will be larger and share aesthetic characteristics with the global-spec Elantra sedan. The larger size will allow Hyundai to generate additional interior space.

The new Verna will be styled with the brand’s parametric jewel design grille, full LED headlights, fastback-like appearance with a tapered roof, and split tail-lights. The new vehicle will have an all-new cabin with a dual-screen display for infotainment and an instrument cluster. The new model will have ADAS technology such as lane assist, front collision avoidance, adaptive cruise control, automated emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic assistance, and other features.

The 2018 Verna is said to have three engine options: a 115bhp, 1.5L NA petrol, a 115bhp, 1.5L turbo diesel, and a new 160bhp, 1.5L turbo petrol. The 1.0L turbo petrol engine from Hyundai might possibly be offered with the new Verna car.

SUV Hyundai Ai3

Hyundai will introduce the new Ai3 compact SUV in the nation before to Diwali. The new model will compete with vehicles such as the Tata Punch and the Nissan Magnite. While testing of the new model has yet to begin in India, the new Hyundai Ai3 has lately been sighted in a South Korean parking lot.

The new Ai3 SUV will be built on Hyundai’s K1 platform, which also serves as the foundation for the Hyundai Casper. However, spy photos show that the SUV will be very different from the Casper. It will be designed similarly to the Venue small SUV. It will most likely be 3.7-3.8 metres long and will have a larger wheelbase than the standard model.

The new model is likely to be similar to the Grand i10 Nios. It will most likely have LED lighting, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a semi-digital instrument panel, automatic air conditioning, and other features. In fact, the tiny SUV will get a single-pane sunroof as well. It will most likely be powered by a 1.2L 4-cylinder NA petrol engine with 81bhp and 114Nm of torque. A CNG version of the tiny SUV might possibly be offered by the firm. Both manual and automatic transmissions will be available.
