Next-Gen Hindustan Ambassador: Rendered by Amol Satpute

The Hindustan Ambassador is a famous vehicle that need no introduction. It remained on the market for a long period, but production had to be halted due to low sales and the implementation of many new rules and emission standards. But what if Ambassador decides to re-enter the Indian market? So, here’s a rendering of what the Ambassador may look like if it were to be revived.

The rendering is done by Amol Satpute and the pictures are shared on his Instagram. Amol has done an excellent job rendering the Ambassador. It has a contemporary appearance while still retaining some of its distinctive design aspects.

A similar shaped grille has been employed by the artist, but it has been given a modern touch with floating dots. On Mercedes-AMG vehicles, we used to get a similar design. The main LED Daytime Running Lamp is located above the circular headlamps on the sides. As a result, it’s referred to as a split-headlamp configuration. Because the headlamps are situated so low, the car does not require fog lamps.

The render has a muscular appearance because to the tall bonnet and bulging wheel arches. There are blacked-out multi-spoke alloy wheels with a chrome surround. A short chrome strip goes down the front fender and another runs along the lower portion of the door.

The roof piece of the side profile is completed in chrome, which adds to the overall appeal. The car appears to have a floating roof as a result of this. The back of the render is distinct in that the boot area abruptly descends. As a result, it may appear strange at first.

Vertical tail lamps are present, precisely as they were on the original Ambassador. They are now, however, using LED elements. The boot has a chrome surround, and the tailgate has Ambassador letters spelled out on it. A diffuser-like feature is also added to the bumper. The rear window design is strikingly similar to that of the Ambassador.

The artist has not yet completed the interior rendering, but we can expect it to be as modern as the façade. Overall, the artist did an excellent job. It is crucial to note, however, that the portrayal was created using the artists’ creativity. Ambassador is currently owned by Groupe PSA, which purchased it in 2017 for Rs. 80 crores. It was rumoured that Peugeot or Citroen might bring the Ambassador back. As of now, though, nothing has been confirmed.
