NHAI’s Toll Revenue Will Rise To Rs. 1.40 Lakh Crores In Next Three To Five Years, Says Nitin Gadkari

The toll revenue of the NHAI will rise to Rs 1.40 lakh crores per annum from Rs 40,000 per annum currently in next three to five years

Nitin Gadkari, the Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, said on Wednesday that the National Highway Authority of India’s (NHAI) toll revenue will climb to Rs 1.40 lakh crores per annum in the next three to five years, up from Rs 40,000 crores today. During the ‘Regional Conference of Professional Empowerment’ in Delhi, he spoke to the audience.

“In the next three to five years, the NHAI’s toll revenue will jump from Rs 40,000 per annum to Rs 1.40 lakh crores per annum,” Gadkari stated to the crowd. He stated that when it comes to roads, the country is planning to expand from 96,000 kilometres of roadways to two lakh kilometres. “Previously, work was limited to three kilometres per day, but now, 38 kilometres of road may be built in a single day. It’s a world record, to be sure “Added he. (Tramadol)

During the event, he stated that the government’s top priority is economic growth.

He emphasised the need of financial capital investment in rural agriculture, as well as the Tribal and Rural sectors “Manufacturing accounts for 22-24 percent of our economy’s growth, the service sector for 52-56 percent, and agricultural and related industries for 8-12 percent. However, agricultural, tribal, and rural areas account for 60-65 percent of the population. There is a lack of social, educational, and economic advancement. Financial capital investment in rural agriculture, forest, and tribal sectors will raise per capita income, GDP, and make us ‘aatmanirbhar’ (self-sufficient).”
