The two most eagerly anticipated bikes on the market are the 650cc twins from Royal Enfield, which are due for release soon. To the complete amazement of everyone, Royal Enfield has debuted a specially designed dragster that is in fact based on the 650cc twins.
The dragster, which goes by the name LockStock, was introduced during an event at the Bike Shed Motorcycle Club in London. In terms of its low stance design, engine, and fuel tank, the high-performance drag bike LockStock has formally inherited its components from the Continental GT 650. Other than that, the twins don’t share many characteristics.
The LockStock looks like a beast thanks to its sparse bodywork and bigger exhausts. It has a carbon fibre front that has an LED ring forged into it. The dragster has a dashing appearance thanks to its single seat and drop-bar handlebars. By reducing air resistance, this construction actually enables the bike to have a low drag coefficient.
The mudguard can be seen reaching forward to touch the tyres. The modified exhaust aids in rapid heat dissipation, and the longer wheelbase is strong enough to ultimately streamline the bike. Some of the biggest improvements are an upside-down Ohlins fork and six-spoke alloy wheels.
Lack of a rear suspension is justified by the bare rear wheel. It has disc brakes on both ends, with a four-piston Brembo calliper up front and a standard disc braking arrangement in back. The LockStock has a NOS tank just behind the engine that can give it an extra performance boost.
The 648cc, fuel-injected, parallel-twin engine that will power the bespoke dragster LockStock is taken from the Continental GT 650 and delivers a maximum of 47.65 PS at 7100 rpm and a maximum torque of 52 Nm at 4000 rpm in standard condition.
A 6-speed gearbox will be connected to the engine. The launch of LockStock and the increased anticipation for the 650cc twins were prompted by the enthusiasts’ absolute beast posture, powerful engine, and design.
