Porsche Extends Its Lineup in India For 2022

The 718 Boxster GTS 4.0 and the 718 Cayman GTS 4.0 are two new models that Porsche India has introduced to its lineup. The new two-seater roadsters are now available to order in India, starting at Rs. 1.46 crore for the 718 Cayman GTS and Rs. 1.50 crore for the 718 Boxster GTS 4.0. The Porsche Cayman is a two-door coupe, whilst the Porsche Boxster is a two-door cabriolet. The 20-inch alloy wheels, GTS-spec front apron, wider air intakes, black airblades, and a front spoiler are all shared by both variants. At speeds above 125 kmph, the rear wing automatically lifts to produce extra downforce.

Engine Specifications

The 4.0-litre, six-cylinder, normally aspirated petrol engine in the Porsche 718 Cayman GTS and 718 Boxster GTS 4.0 produces 395 horsepower and 430 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a 7-speed PDK automatic transmission, which drives the rear wheels. With Porsche Stability Management Control, torque vectoring, electromechanical power steering, and the Sport Chrono package, there are plenty of technological assistance to keep all that power in check. Porsche Active Suspension Management sports suspension with firmer springs, stiffer anti-roll bars, and the ability to reduce the ride height by 20 mm is also available on the two-door models.

Features

The new 718 Cayman GTS 4.0 and Boxster GTS 4.0 models include a 7-inch touchscreen display with Porsche Communication Management, a semi-digital instrument cluster with a 4.6-inch screen, a multi-function steering wheel, launch control, automatic air conditioning, and more. Both variants are delivered fully assembled in India. The Jaguar F-Type is pitted against the Porsche 718 twins. With the new model launch the automaker has started the new year in India with a bang.
