Rolls-Royce Black Badge Ghost Launched, Priced At Rs. 12.25 Crore

In India, Rolls-Royce has introduced the Black Badge Ghost, a luxury car made in the United Kingdom. The price of the luxury vehicle with all optional equipment and accessories is Rs. 12.25 crore. The real ex-showroom prices for each order may vary, and buyers will only learn about them during the commissioning phase.

The external and interior design of the car differs significantly from that of the conventional Ghost. The Spirit of Ecstacy and Pantheon grilles are black chromed, and the sedan rides on unique 21-inch composite alloy wheels. The Black Badge Ghost is painted in the company’s characteristic High-Gloss Piano Black, but clients can choose from 44,000 additional paint possibilities or even a bespoke color.

Rolls-Royce Black Badge Ghost Powertrain

The same 634-litre twin-turbocharged V12 petrol engine that powers the ordinary Rolls Royce Ghost is used in the Black Badge Ghost. However, this engine produces 600 PS and 900 Nm of peak power and torque, which is a 29 PS and 50 Nm increase over the normal RR Ghost. It’s paired with a ZF 8-speed transmission.

For a more dynamic drive, the four-wheel steering and all-wheel-drive systems have been calibrated differently. Rolls-Royce has revised the air suspension, which decreases body roll during strong cornering, as well as a new throttle map, to further improve the driving experience. The braking system has not been altered, however, the brake pedal has been adjusted for improved response.

In 2016, Rolls-Royce introduced the ‘Black Badge’ sub-brand with two models: the Ghost and Wraith. RR Dawn was added to the Black Badge series in 2017, followed by Cullinan in 2019. Only two Black Badge versions, the Cullinan and Ghost, are currently available in global markets.
