Roush beefs up 2022 Ford F-150 with several upgrades inside and out

Like a Raptor, but more exclusive.

Roush Performance has a long history of modifying Ford F-150 trucks. The company has been doing it for decades, and the current-generation model is no exception. Last year, Roush even offered a performance package for the best-selling pickup truck.

However, just because Roush released the package last year does not guarantee it will not do it again in 2022. On top of the beefed-up suspension system, the business improved the exterior and interior aesthetics. The 2022 Roush F-150 is for individuals who want a vehicle that falls somewhere between the normal and the Raptor models. If you want the Roush enhancements, you’ll need to start with an XLT with the 302A option pack or a Lariat with the 502A.

So, what’s new for the Roush F-150 in 2022? This year’s kit includes a redesigned grille with a small update in the Roush typeface. But it isn’t the only difference between the old truck and the new one. Clearance lights on the upper half of the grille are new for ’22. Heat extracting vents have also been added to the hood. The fender flares have been revised, and a new graphics package is offered for those who want a one-of-a-kind set of decals.

The 2022 Roush F-150 rides on 20-inch Roush-designed wheels with 33-inch General Tire Grabber A/TX tyres, same like the 2021 variant. Custom off-road coilover suspension is installed on the truck. The modifications raise the F-150’s ground clearance and enhance handling, allowing it to go off-road more easily. The active exhaust system is optional, however it comes standard with a Roush performance exhaust.

For the 2022 Roush F-150, there are two interior options. Customers who get the XLT get two-tone grey and black leather seats. The Lariat’s interior is entirely made of black leather, which contrasts nicely with the Vintage Carmine accents. A serialised badge, WeatherTech floor mats, and a custom gauge set are among the other interior upgrades.

The Roush pack costs $18,500 more than the original vehicle, but it can cost more than $20,000 if the buyer selects many upgrades. The Ready Package ($660), which includes an off-road tool kit and console vault, the Dual Tip Active Exhaust System ($1,800), the Premium Leather Package ($1,850), and the Accent Graphic Package ($325) are among the options.
