Indian Playback Singer KK Buys New Audi

Over the previous two decades, singer Krishnakumar Kunnath, or KK as he is known, has given some of the biggest songs in the Indian music industry. The singer is known for his wide range of musical tastes, and it’s no surprise that practically every song he releases becomes a hit. However, we were pleasantly surprised to learn that KK is a passionate petrolhead as well. His most recent acquisition bears witness to this. The musician recently received his new Audi RS5 Sportback in the stunning Tango Red metallic paint scheme. The Audi dealership posted photos of the artist and his partner Jyoti receiving the new automobile on their social media accounts.

The Singer Loves Audi Brand

Even more intriguing is the fact that KK has traded in his Audi R8 for the new RS5 Sportback. The singer previously owned a red R8 with a black-finished blade, now an update in the form of another red Audi has arrived. While the original R8 was a two-seater coupe, the RS5 Sportback is a more practical option with a functional second row, and it’s also more affordable at Rs. 1.07 crore (ex-showroom). KK’s R8 appears to be one of the first models, and it would have been over a decade old by now, making it an ideal opportunity to replace it. The artist also announced the disappearance of his favourite possession from his garage on Instagram a few weeks ago.

Engine And Specs

The first-generation Audi R8 had a 4.2-liter V8 engine with 424 horsepower and 430 Nm of peak torque. Later, a 5.2-litre V10 engine with 518 horsepower and 530 Nm was offered, while a more performance-oriented V10 Plus variant produced 542 bhp and 540 Nm of peak torque. The V8 variant could sprint from 0 to 100 kilometres per hour in 4.3 seconds, while the V10 could do it in 3.6 seconds and the V10 Plus in 3.5 seconds. A gated manual gear shifter was also available on some early R8 models. The Audi RS5 Sportback, on the other hand, has a 2.9-litre bi-turbo V6 TFSI petrol engine with 444 horsepower and 600 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. It can sprint from 0 to 100 kilometres per hour in 3.9 seconds, with a top speed of 250 kilometres per hour. Audi Drive Select with two RS settings, as well as the Quattro and RS Sports suspension, are included.

Notable Features

The RS5 Sportback includes the Audi Virtual Cockpit Plus, MMI Navigation plus with MMI touch, Quattro with a self-locking centre differential, front sports seats with massaging function, and driver-side memory, among other features. Three-zone climate control, Alcantara leather combination upholstery, a panoramic sunroof, LED door projection lighting, and other features are included. Six airbags, Parking Aid Plus with a rearview camera, cruise control, and a slew of other electronic aids are included in the Audi RS5 Sportback.
