Skoda Kushaq and Volkswagen Taigun Gets E20 Fuel-Compliant Engines

Skoda and Volkswagen took part in the Alternative Fuel-Based Vehicle Rally during the G20 Presidency showpiece event in Bengaluru, with their E20-fuel-compliant SUVs, Kushaq and Taigun. Shri Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India, led the rally.

In India, the Volkswagen Group has pledged to become a carbon-neutral corporation by 2050. Furthermore, the Skoda Kushaq and Volkswagen Taigun are the first items from the companies to be E20 fuel compatible. Furthermore, the Skoda Kushaq and Volkswagen Taigun have been received five-star GNCAP safety certifications.

‘Our ‘Made in India’ cars – the Skoda Kushaq and Volkswagen Taigun – were built in anticipation of the changing mobility dynamics in India and are E20 compatible,’ said Piyush Arora, Managing Director and CEO, Skoda Auto Volkswagen India Private Limited, speaking at the occasion. We agree with the Government of India’s objective of E20 compliance and are dedicated to decarbonized transportation. We will continue to work on sustainable transportation options, including biofuels, as India strives to lead the world in the transition to clean energy.’
